The problem:
1. Government, business affairs and registry protocols are done manually, with hardcopy files. Tracking the files take time, accessing the files and the right office takes time. Transport to the offices in charge creates traffic congestion, and bothers on transport costs. Staffs are overwhelmed with sorting and administrative duties, the process chain is bulky. All these slows state development and progress, directly and indirectly.
2. Method of Verification in every sector is tedious and back dated. For any registry protocol, verification takes time and most times the systems aren't responding. Most systems ask for about five to six different verification documents to confirm a person. Sometimes they include ECOWAS Passport which is wrong.
3. Strings of daily routines are manually done, hence tracking projects, development, government operations is tedious and slow. This hampers seriously on development and progress, it slows the process, thereby making 8 years not enough for any sitting governor to achieve his goals.
4. Security and Shield for state and state properties. Whether deliberate or accidental, state property destruction is a crime and offender should pay for damages. But the system to achieve this perfectly is not digital.
5. Census, Statistics and Addresses, these are all based on estimated and self declared data
The Solution:
If Kaduna State is digitalized, long queues will disappear with a permanent end, slow procedures will be done in minutes and government execution on dealings will be rapid, with ample time for a sitting governor to achieve all planned for the state, within his reigning term. Verification and authentication will be done in two clicks. The state will be more secured for long term investors to feel safe investing in, with more friendly systems that accommodate them easily.
All sections of business and government operations will be done simpler and easier.
What does it mean to digitalize Kaduna State?
This is the billion dollar question. Digitalizing a state means, creating simple digital systems that covers registry, data collection, data storage and operational protocols. And linking them all together. Every routine and operation should be digitalized or have digital solutions in its procedures.
We propose:
1. One Data System Project, this idea means that Kaduna State will create it's own data agency. All operational organizations will be able to access one sync data. This will aid Verification and Authentication, Faster registry, and administrative procedures.
2. Digital Addresses, every citizen or resident of the state will have digital address. This will replace using Utility Receipts for Address authentication or verification.
3. Digital Secured Systems, this aids in protecting all government properties and serves as the eye watching other the properties. (It is a confidential idea, for Governor's eyes only)
4. Urbanizing Kaduna City by installing Digital Systems, Screens and means of generating state revenue. (Also for Governor's eyes only)
5. Invest in becoming the digital hub of Nigeria, Africa. Have tech companies operate in Kaduna state. Have the best tech school, produce and manufacture tech solutions in several tech manufacturering plants in the state.
